Reviews for Uma Yum Cha Dimsum
Review highlights
Based on 2,410 reviewsUma Yum Cha Dimsum in Surakarta City is widely praised for its affordable and flavorful dim sum offerings, particularly noted for thin skins and juicy fillings. The restaurant’s variety, including shrimp, lobster, and crab, appeals to diverse tastes, though some customers feel the different dim sum types have a similar flavor profile. Its location on the second floor of Pasar Gede poses challenges, such as limited seating and steep stairs, which can be inconvenient for elderly patrons. Despite occasional crowding and warm conditions, the establishment manages efficient service through a queue system. Overall, Uma Yum Cha Dimsum is valued for its tasty food and reasonable prices, attracting both locals and visitors willing to endure minor comfort trade-offs for quality dim sum.
Uma Yumcha Dimsum Pasar Gede is a hit, but be prepared for a long queue! They have a clever system where customers get a queue number to place orders, and once called, you can pay and pick up your cutlery. However, seating can be a challenge since the number of chairs and tables is limited. Even while enjoying your meal, you'll still have to navigate through customers looking for seats.
Best dimsum I've ever taste! Thin skin with thicccc meat-stuffing inside that melts in your mouth! They have 6 dimsum variants (Rp3k/each): shrimp, lobster, carrot, mushroom, crab, and another one I cannot remember lol + kaki naga. I tried all variants except mushroom, but they all taste the same for me. The stall located inside Food Market just across Pasar Gedhe building, the second floor. It's quite hidden and doesn't have any huge sign or anything so you have to really concentrate if you're a first timer. Gosh I can still remember the taste melting in the ceiling of my mouth.
Hey there! Let me give you the scoop on "Uma Yum Cha," the dimsum spot at Pasar Gedhe Solo. When I hit up Solo, this was my very first food stop. People were raving about it everywhere, so I rushed to make sure I didn't miss out. Now, about the dimsum taste – it wasn't like super amazing, but it was pretty good and had that melt-in-your-mouth thing going. I might just go back for more dimsum soon. They've got all sorts of dimsum flavors, bakpao and ceker. And guess what? It's easy on the wallet. The place gets crowded, but no worries – the servers are quick. Here's the thing, though – the restaurant is small, so you might have to do a bit of a shuffle to move around and maybe even snag a seat. All in all, "Uma Yum Cha" serves up some good dimsum at prices that won't break the bank.
have good service even it’s crowded just need to wait for 10 min +-. for the place to small for popular dimsum
Located in the 2nd floor of the market. The weather could be hot in the afternoon. Good taste and reasonable price. I would say that all of the dimsum taste the same (even though they serve various taste). Each dimsum cost 3000. The stairs is quite steep for old peop, please be careful, overall is good
This is a hyped dimsum place. Located on the 2nd floor of Pasar Gede Solo alongside with other food vendors. It is always crowded and always has queue. You can dine in or takeaway. Dine in place is just a few tables on the edges with tools and it’s overlooked the busy street below. The dimsum for me is overrated. The taste is okay, it is good, but not special. But it’s affordable I think it’s around 24k for 8 pcs. Mind you this located inside the traditional market, so it’s not the cleanest place to eat.
# The place is located upstairs of the fruit market. + They sell dim sum for 3k each. + The service is pretty fast despite the queue of people. + The dim sum itself is full of meats! - The place is pretty small and packed with people. It gets hot fast! Need adequate fans. - The dining area is pretty small and sometimes you have to share the dining table with other people. Recommend to take away.
